48×17 Cycles was founded in 2011. Its roots are deeply rooted in urban cycling, whatever form it might take: fixed gear, road rides, cyclocross or just commuting bikes. It was founded by people that met within the local bike community then moved on either to bike messengering or sports cycling.

Inspired by the rise of the global urban bike movement as well as past giants such as Fausto Coppi, Eddy Merckx, Koichi Nakano and Michael Hübner, it aims to celebrate the passion found in this romantic era of cycling.

As a commercial space 48×17 focuses on three axis: aesthetics, functionality, value. It wishes to act as a meeting point of the people passionately involved in the local bike community, providing high quality specialized services, custom built bikes, in-house framebuilding and a careful selection of technical clothing and gear by independent as well as high-end brands.

Opening hours: Tuesday to Thursday 11.00-20.00, Friday 11.00-late, Saturday 11.00-16.00, Sunday/Monday closed
